Complete Access to the Body

- Auscultation
Able to listen to breath sounds, heart tones, and bowels tones without having to listen through fabric.
- Assessment and Procedures
With complete lateral access to the body, all assessments and procedures that need access to the chest and torso can be completed while leaving the patient covered.
- IV Changes
Snaps along the shoulder allow for IV bag changes without threading the bag and IV tubing through a gown sleeve.

Maternal / Child and Women's Health Unit

- Modesty
Now only one gown is needed to walk the halls! No more double gowning. Lateral access allows for fetal heart monitors to be placed on the abdomen without exposing the perineal area. Large and extra large gowns have plenty of room for both mom and baby.
- Nursing Privacy
Snaps on the shoulders allow moms to nurse on either side and still maintain their modesty.

ICU, CCU, Oncology

Access to the chest is vital in these units. Potential for a Code Blue is always high. One strong pull on the front of the gown exposes the entire chest for monitor leads and paddle placement. No strings on the back to cut.

Fabric Content, Color, Dimensions & Construction

The pattern is of a surfboard design and the fabric is a 55% cotton 45% polyester blend. This is the same blend that is currently being used in the traditional gown. Because it is the same blend, these gowns will wash up much like the current gown and will take 30 - 50 washings.

Snaps are on both shoulders and are of industrial strength. They are extremely strong and will very rarely come unsnapped in the laundry.

All Large and X-Large gowns come with a telemetry pocket.
